How to use Slonke

One link turns any video into a two-person watch party: synced playback, voice, video and chat. Here is the whole thing, start to finish, in about a minute.

Walkthrough video, coming soon
The written steps below cover everything in the meantime.

Five steps to your first watch party

  1. Add Slonke to Chrome. Install the free extension from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it so the Slonke icon sits next to your address bar. It is desktop Chrome, and both people need it.
  2. Open something to watch. Go to the video on Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, Hotstar and more, on the actual video page, signed in with your own account.
  3. Start the party. Click the Slonke icon, type a name, and hit Start watch party. Slonke spins up a private room just for the two of you.
  4. Send the invite link. Copy the one invite link and send it to your person over chat. Want it private? Set a PIN when you start.
  5. They join, you watch together. They open the link (it offers the extension if they do not have it), click Join, and land in the same scene at the same second. Press play once and you are synced.

Bring your own accounts

Good to know Slonke is a synchroniser, not a streaming service. Each person plays the video on their own legitimate account, so nothing is pirated, no DRM is touched, and no streams are hosted. Slonke simply presses play at the same moment on each side.

Ready to watch together?

It is free, it is friendly, and it sets up in under a minute.
